After India’s Under-19 team won the Asia Cup 2021 title on Friday, captain Yash Dhul’s father expressed happiness and said that the whole family got a chance to watch the match live. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored a half-century while Sheikh Rashid scored 31* as India beat Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup on Friday. Yash Dhul’s father Vijay Dhul told ANI, “The entire family is happy with the performance of the entire U-19 team and today we got a chance to watch a live match. Every parent wants to see their child play.”

“In sports, you need speed because it is a team game and in a team game, if the bonding is better, it works well in tough matches. This team is very talented and there are many boys in this team who Will do well. Future for India,” he said.

Vijay also said that his family always teaches his son to think positive and accept the reality of every situation.

“We tell him to be positive all the time. You need to accept the situation. Against Pakistan, he accepted the situation and despite losing, he remained positive and won the Asia Cup. Now the team goes straight to West Indies. Under 19 World Cup,” said Vijay.

Talking about the match, India’s target was reduced from 99 to 102 while chasing the target. Sri Lanka scored 106/9 and India were given a target of 99 runs due to the DLS method.


Chasing the target, India suffered an early blow as Harnoor Singh rolled in front of the stumps in the fifth over.

However, Raghuvanshi and Rashid stitched an unbeaten 96-run partnership to help India win the summit clash.
