Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Salem Parre among 2 killed

Srinagar: Two terrorists, including a wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Salim Pare, were killed in two encounters with security forces in Harwan area on the outskirts of the city on Monday, police said.

IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said, “Srinagar Police has killed the dreaded terrorist of banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba Salim Parre.”

He said the details of the operation would be shared later.

Another encounter broke out between militants and security forces in nearby Gasu village, police officials said.

“One unidentified terrorist has been killed in the operation, which was going on till the final reports came in,” officials said, adding that the identity and group affiliation of the dead terrorist was being ascertained.
