New Delhi: Official sources said on Tuesday that more than 100 crore Kovidshield doses have been given in India and abroad, which is proof of its safety and efficacy, Serum Institute has informed DCGI, which has taken more steps to give full marketing approval to the Covid vaccine. In addition to the successful completion of the Phase 2/3 clinical study in India, more than 100 crore doses of the Kovidshield vaccine have been administered to people in this country and around the world so far, Mr Singh said in the response. He said that such large-scale vaccination with Kovidshield and prevention of COVID-19 infection is a proof of the vaccine’s safety and efficacy in itself.
