One person arrested after the plane was damaged during boarding

(CNN) – The airline said in a statement that a man broke into the cockpit of an American Airlines plane in Honduras and was damaged at the plane’s gate.

The airline’s statement said the incident occurred when the plane was en route to Miami.

“Crew members intervened and the person was eventually apprehended by local law enforcement,” the statement said.
