“Don’t forget…”: Wasim Jaffer’s epic reply to Michael

India’s hopes of winning their maiden series in South Africa turned into a dream after the Proteas came from behind to win the three-match series 2-1 on Friday. South Africa’s batsmen played a gritty innings as the Indian bowlers failed to break through their defense in the fourth innings of the second and third Tests respectively. Former England captain Michael Vaughan tried to mock former India batsman Wasim Jaffer when India once again failed to win the last boundary.

After India’s series loss to South Africa on Friday, Vaughan took to Twitter to try to mock Jaffer.

Vaughan wrote with a wink emoji, “Sham @wasimjaffer14!! Just checking you are ok.”

However, Jaffer, who is known for his hilarious social media posts, had none of it and came up with an epic reply.

Earlier this year, India toured England to play five Tests. However, only four Tests could be completed and India were leading the series 2-1 with the final game to be played at Edgbaston later this year.

Reminding Vaughn of the same, Jaffer wrote: “Haha all good Michael, don’t forget we’re still leading you 2-1.”

The 2-1 loss was their seventh in eight visits to South Africa, the only Test-playing nation where the Indian team is yet to win a series.

India’s tour had a perfect start after the Virat Kohli-led side won the first Test at Centurion.

However, back-to-back defeats in Johannesburg and Cape Town, mainly due to some poor batting performances from India’s top-order, cost them another Test series defeat in South Africa.
